Mac minis all in a row

A mini of Many Talents

Mac mini is the smallest Mac. It wraps a fast processor, plenty of main memory, Mac OS X Snow Leopard and all the fun of iLife '09 in a tiny 6.5-inch-square package. Plus, it's the world's most energy efficient desktop computer.

But Mac mini is so much more. Here are five great things Mac mini does that you may not know about.

  1. It fits perfect with your big-screen TV. If you want the Mac experience on your HDTV, or if AppleTV isn't quite flexible enough, Mac mini is perfect. Grab a cable or two, a wireless keyboard and mouse (or Apple remote) and you get all your media plus the web and beyond, right from your couch.
  2. It's a great second Mac. Have kids? Mac mini works with any existing monitor, keyboard and mouse. They won't drop it, and are less likely to spill juice in it, and it's powerful enough to play some pretty demanding games. Or, if you have a Mac at work, get some R&R at home with the smallest Mac.
  3. It makes a great Windows machine. Need to run Windows-only applications but want a dedicated computer to do it? Mac mini runs Windows like a charm on its own or at the same time as Snow Leopard.
  4. It's a great server (that just got better). Mac mini has long been used as file or web server in business and as a media server at home. With the newly designed Mac mini server, Apple has made things official. Get Snow Leopard Server ($500 on its own) plus two 500GB hard drives in a machine for barely more than $1000.
  5. It's great for retail, digital signage and more. Mac mini can already run two HD displays at the same time. Combine it with some inexpensive hardware from Matrox, though, and drive even larger combinations of screens.

Mac mini is available starting at $649.99. Buy Now
