This Privacy Policy describes how Simply Computing Inc. ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you visit or make a purchase from www.simply.ca (the "Site"). We are a Canadian company based in Vancouver, BC, and we comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
Personal Information We Collect
Information you provide: When you make or attempt to make a purchase, we collect your name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number, and payment information (processed securely through our payment processor). We call this "Order Information."
Information collected automatically: When you browse the Site, we collect your IP address, browser type, time zone, pages viewed, referring URLs, and browsing behaviour using cookies, log files, web beacons, and similar technologies. How We Use Your Information
We use Order Information to fulfill orders, process payments, arrange shipping, provide order confirmations, communicate with you, and screen for fraud. Where you have given consent, we may send marketing communications about our products or services in accordance with CASL.
We use Device Information to screen for security risks, improve and optimize our Site, and assess the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns.
Consent
We collect and use your personal information with your knowledge and consent, except where permitted by law. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us, though this may affect our ability to provide certain services.
Sharing Your Information

Data Retention
We retain Order Information for a minimum of seven (7) years as required by the Canada Revenue Agency. Device Information is retained for up to twenty-four (24) months, then anonymized or deleted. Marketing preferences are retained until you unsubscribe, and we will process unsubscribe requests within ten (10) business days. You may request deletion of your information by contacting us.
Your Rights
Under PIPEDA and PIPA, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, and withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us using the information below. We will respond within thirty (30) days.
Data Breach Notification
If a breach of your personal information creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify affected individuals as soon as feasible and report the breach to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, as required by PIPEDA.
Security
We implement reasonable physical, organizational, and technological safeguards to protect your information, including SSL encryption and restricted access on a need-to-know basis. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on our Site with a revised "Last Updated" date.
